Oh Summer 2018, you were utterly wonderful.
Every single day was warm (okay, let’s face it, scorching!) and the summer was full of brilliant families to photograph. As the weather turns a little colder, I find myself looking through images of sunnier days and I thought it was about time to share them on my blog…so here are some pictures I captured during family sessions from May to August, a little summer round up.
A big thank you to all the families who booked me to photograph them this summer, it means so much to document your precious time with your children and the connection you share together.
And now we have begun the steady march towards Autumn: back to nursery and back to school, back to routine and with darker evenings come earlier bedtimes and slow-cooker dinners. I am getting excited to photograph some families amongst beautiful orangey red colours over the next part of the year, following the seasons and wrapping up in cardis and scarves, I do love a layer! Family shoots will involve searching for conkers and pine cones, collecting leaves and going on bear hunts – if this sounds like something you’d love too, get in touch I’d love to hear from you!
So here are the highlights from this endless summer, one I know I’ll remember for years to come – when my boy turned 4 and my girl turned one, and it seemed as though vests were the only clothes we wore and lollies the only thing we ate for days and days on end. I hope these photos serve as reminder to the families they belong to.
