ShootSwap : Hampstead Heath with Babb Photo and Emma Lucy Photography

Happy New Year! I'm really excited to share this post with you.  Things have been quiet on the blog front this January but this post will kick start a year of very exciting times I hope.  I've been really busy designing sample photo albums, booking some weddings for the summer, getting ready for a wedding fair, settling into my new home and generally working hard. However one of the most fabulous things to happen at the end of last year is that I met up with some other London based  photographers who I met on Twitter (yes, real people from off of the internet!)  It's been really lovely to talk all things photo and creativity, and make new friends. I feel like my confidence has been given a real boost and we've had some fun along the way!  Last weekend I met up with Emma Gutteridge, Laura Babb and her lovely photographer fiancé Pete Wilbourne (brave man for spending the day with three very chatty girlies!)  We spent a very chilly afternoon doing a 'shootswap' where we all took turns taking photos of each other (the modelling bit was slightly on the scary side!)  I'm really pleased with the images, it was a laid back afternoon and chance to be a little bit silly.

Emma's photos are here and Laura's will be here on Monday.  My photos of Emma are up first, she was feeling rather apprehensive about having her photo taken - photographers are the worst for this I think, but it turned out that by the end of the afternoon she loved posing! I tried to be gentle and relaxed around her, and just chat as I shot.  I think you'll agree she's totally gorgeous!

 Laura and Pete up next, such a lovely couple - another gorgeous pair. I loved taking their photographs and they let me have fun posing them - I think my favourite part was when they jokingly clicked heels coming down Parliament Hill, tongue firmly in cheek. I can't wait to see their wedding photos this summer!

To Laura and Emma, I hope you love the images as much as I do x  I had such a lovely day. It was a great chance to see how the others shoot and pose their subjects, as well as  I'm really pleased with these images and even though I couldn't feel my toes by the end of the afternoon, it was totally worth it.   The afternoon wouldn't have been complete without a beer to warm us up, so we ended up in the pub. Pete certainly looked like he was enjoying it...
