Alexa Loves: A Door in a Wall - London Treasure Hunt

Waaaa where to start with Sheikhs on a Plane? The latest mystery adventure from A Door in a Wall across London was brilliant to photograph - I spent my day looking for the little moments, the clues, the bewilderment on the faces of the participants! The crazy characters/actors involved really made me smile too, it's very much an interactive game.  I've played several of their games in the past but this year was really excited to being their photographer....The story was based around a flight and a jewel thief.....teams were set off around central London to follow clues, picking up details about the suspects and were challenged to solve the mystery.  Who dunnit?!

I'd be scared too!

You have to keep your eyes peeled to spot some of the clues...

Door in a Wall games are always interactive and I think that adds to the unique experience...being led to a doorbell and pressing the buzzer is always a bit nerve wracking when you don't know what lies on the other side...

It turns out to be a hyperactive footballer with a dodgy italian accent.  Brilliant.  The players and me were led up a narrow staircase into a small one bed flat...
The 'footballer' explained another part of the plot and then the actor pleaded that they hid wherever they could when there was a loud shout and a bang on the door when his 'manager' arrived.  I didn't get a shot of one guy hiding in the shower with a towel on his head because I was too scared/laughing too hard (I'd never make a press photographer...)

After that excitement I headed for the British Museum and the Cartoon Museum just in front of it.  Just look for a lady in a bowler hat they told me....
Personalised illustrations in the cartoon museum...

You may have seen this picture on my blog before...I love it.  Such a peaceful moment in a mad mad day.

This team were using good old Boris Bikes...genius!

Trying to work out a code on a mural....

Back to 'Metre' in Shoreditch for a well earned rest, a drink and to work out 'who dunnit'.  Yes, you can order pizza by length in this bar, yes it is amazing!

I really loved that all of the creative team behind the project were dressed as air flight staff...absolutely brilliant!

Winners of the best team name....

FTW

I'd really like to thank all at A Door in a Wall (especially John Wilkes for being my expert guide all day), if you want to find out more about their next adventure I really can't recommend their days enough.  They also run short games evenings around London, fun times!
