Photography Farm with Devlin Photos ~ March 2013
Where to start? OK, so I've wanted to go to the Photography Farm - a residential workshop run by Lisa Devlin since the workshop started running a couple of years ago...but it never quite worked out with my calender until this spring .... going along has really altered the way I approach my business, made me feel so positive about this photographic journey that I'm on and challenged me to push myself forwards. And talk about inspired!!! The styled shoot that was organised to help us see how Lisa shoots and interacts with couples.... was killer!
Hannah is a photographer (check out her gorgeous work here) and she is a previous photographer farmer. She has a lovely new husband called Iwan and together they modelled for us - they totally rocked it and were such a lovely pair to photograph - thank you so much guys, you looked awesome, your love is inspirational and you braved the cold all day like pros, I love these images, thank you. You guys are ace.
Not to mention the gorgeous gorgeous styling, swoon. Lisa discussed her ideas with Hannah and Iwan and the styling really reflects the couple and their personalities. The people working behind the scenes were amazing and I was blown over by how much attention to detail there was - amazing. Set styling was by The Tea Set, hair and make by Elbie Van Eeden, Dresses by Oh My Honey and fashion styling by Laura Kate O'Rourke
The shoot had a strong story book narrative running through out and I was really inspired by this way of working - are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin....
Once upon a time there was a crafty fox and a little puddle duck..
And then I borrowed Rebecca's lensbaby to take this shot...love it! Have just ordered my own..
I played with some multiple exposure...and the mood gets a little darker...and the set styling becomes epic...
