WHAT IS A FAMILY PHOTO SESSION?

A chance to capture some natural, relaxed images telling the story of your family, to look back on in years to come.

If your family is anything like mine, we keep saying we must make some time for a family photo session…but the days are long and the years are so short and before you know it, another half year has flown by and their little legs are growing longer and you start to realise those people that said time would fly, were actually right.

I know it can be tempting to wait until the house is exactly how you want it, or until they sleep a bit better and you don’t feel as tired, or…but there’s never a perfect time to book a family shoot.

Capturing this time with your littlies, the realness, your every day is such a privilege for me - I come along with my friendly smile and laid back approach. and love finding the connection between you, and the way you are together. I want to capture the the meaningful in-between moments - the giggles, the running around letting off steam, the tickles...the pauses, the play, sharing a favourite story, cuddles and the thoughtful moments too.

WHY DO I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING FAMILIES?

Since the birth of my two children, photos have taken on such precious meaning to me - heritage, memory, connection. And I’ve found I’m mostly behind the lens, but make an extra effort to have photos of myself with my two because I want them to look back in twenty years time and remember how I was too. And that’s how I come along to your session, trying to put myself in your shoes, feeling the love and embracing the little moments with as much importance as I give my own. Every family looks different and I embrace them all - this is the best part of my job, meeting so many wonderful people and learning from them as I grow as a person and photographer. I have been a photographer for 7 years now, but I began my career as an Early Years teacher in central London, so I have spent a lot of time over the years in the company of small children. I am absolutely fascinated with how they develop, interact with the world and grow in their own unique way. I hope to capture their personality, spirit and connection with you in the photographs I take.

I know a lot of adults often say we don't enjoy being photographed (myself included!) but trust me when I say that your children will thank you when they look back on these photos in years to come. This isn't about the perfect white background, the perfect outfit and the perfect pose - it’s about connection and creating images that celebrate both childhood and parenthood. We go at your pace and take time to get down to the children's level, creating authentic images that are unique to your family, that you will all enjoy looking back many years from now when they are grown (and the sleep deprived days are far behind you!)

WHERE?

Let’s meet somewhere that’s meaningful to you - usually it is lovely to begin at your home where your children are most comfortable, and then head out for an adventure. If it’s somewhere you love to be together, your images will reflect that. In your final digital gallery you will receive images of the little moments, connection, hugs, tears and belly laughs if and when they happen and all of the surprises along the way, in little pockets of natural light. I love getting to know the children I photograph - whether they are super confident and want to show me all their toys straight away, or if like my own children, they take a little while to warm up, this is why I work on location rather than in a studio.

PRICING

MINI SESSION - £145

A mini photo session lasts around 40 minutes and is a like a little taster - they can work well for gifts for family members or to create images to mark a particular occasion like Christmas or a first birthday. 3 high resolution hand edited digital image files of your choice are included.

You will be able to view all of the images from your session online in your gallery (for three weeks after your shoot date) and purchase further prints and download files from there if you so wish. There is no hard selling session or pressure at all - just order easily via your online gallery.

FULL SESSION £495

A morning or afternoon with you. The focus is on storytelling, documentary style images capturing your every day. A full family session can feel more relaxed - we go at your pace and there's time to get to know one another and lots of chatting or breaks if you need etc. I create a gallery of images that tell the story of our time together. These sessions are best value as you receive all the files from the shoot and the images tend to be more meaningful as we have longer to get to know one another - usually beginning at home and then moving outside on an adventure.

PRIVATE ONLINE GALLERY

Included in both full and mini sessions is a highlights slideshow and a private online gallery. Your gallery is the place where you can view all of the images, and purchase downloads and beautiful prints for your wall. (If you choose a mini session, your gallery and slideshow will be available online for three weeks, however your images and slideshow are included in price of a full session.)

Once you’re ready to book I’ll send you your booking form, T's & C's and invoice with all the information you need. Your booking form includes a little questionnaire to fill in so I get to know about your family before your session. I will also send you a PDF with little bit of guidance about what to wear (people often ask!) and how to get the best out of your time with me.
