Erica & Lee : Bluebell Woods family shoot

Erica and Lee's gorgeous family shoot left me tingling with photographic joy as we left the blue bell woods on the outskirts of Hitchin one morning last month. We'd already postponed the session a couple of times due to bad weather, but on this Sunday the sun was shining beautifully...perfect for exploring the bluebells, trying to spot wild deer and climbing trees! Erica and Lee have a really amazing one year old boy, he's such a cutie - thank you guys for such a lovely time.

The bluebell wood also reminded me of a favourite children's story called the Bog Baby by Jeanne Willis - have you read it? Its about a magical woodland creature, I guarantee it will pull at your heart strings!  

 

Lee used to play near here as a child and was telling us about the fields and fun times he had with his friends. The woods opened up into wide countryside and we spotted the tree across the way, with the promise of a tree house! 

Just as we headed back into the woods, Lee whispered to us look up the path ahead...there were about 20 deer running in front of us!  I wasn't quite quick enough to catch them properly but if you look carefully...can you catch a glimpse of them!?
