Personal post : A party!

Today a little personal post - it was amazing to photograph Sarah and Andy's party a few weeks ago. Sarah is an old friend from growing up in Peterborough who also lives in Hitchin (inspiration for moving here too!) We go back a long way and she's amazing. This party was a very special day - they've spent a whole year renovating their house themselves from top to bottom, pretty much camping for a lot of the time! Sarah turned 30 in June. passed her PGCE teaching qualification and Andy proposed - all in the space of a week! Talk about time to celebrate! 

Andy turned up at my door one Friday afternoon a few weeks before, to ask advice about the ring - to say it was an emotional conversation is an understatement. How I kept that secret until he popped the question I don't know! So exciting! So this party with all of their friends and family summed up an amazing year for these guys and I am so proud of them both. I just love these photos, emotional, fun and capturing the moment - exactly the reason I love photographing weddings and I am so pleased to be able to photograph my friends...
