Battersea Arts Centre wedding - Nikki & George
It's been quiet on the blog for a fair few months as I've been busy looking after my new baby. I've missed blogging! However, now things are all feeling a little less newborn and a little more settled, I'm really looking forward to giving the blog a bit more love. I've got lots of weddings, family sessions and personal work that I've been photographing this year up my sleeve.First up is one I've been really looking forward to sharing. Nikki and George had a Battersea Arts Centre wedding with lots of literary, musical, theatrical references back in May. I absolutely adored photographing their day from start to finish. There was such a sense of fun, humour and romance - the importance of family and friends was placed in the heart of the day. They had chosen a book for every single one of their guests, the readings in the ceremony were from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and then their lovely friend had written them the most beautiful poem. The speeches were certainly entertaining and in the evening the two families united to form a band to perform a turn!
And then it was time for dinner...
After the speeches Nikki and George took some time out together for some portraits in the most beautiful summer London evening light. It's a lovely time of day for photographs as a couple as everything is relaxed and on good weather days the light is at it's best. I adored photographing this pair, we just went for a wander round the area and captured these moments...
Thanks so much to Nisha Ravji for second shooting this wedding with me - her support and her images this wedding season were amazing.
