Favourite places of 2014...

A sense of place is massively important to my understanding of my place in the world, I love exploring - these are some of my favourite pictures I've taken of my surroundings in 2014 - from window light to fairy lights, rain or shine, from holidays to finding beauty in the normal every day tasks...this was my year in places.  I love imagining the past, seeking out beautiful light and shadows and trying to capture the atmosphere.  Taken on my phone (which is the camera I have with me all the time) or my trusty old D700 or on film ...whatever it's captured on, life is beautiful.
